• Hype of the Week #7: Is DeFi moving to Bitcoin?

  • Bottom line: citing high gas fees, ETH 2.0 uncertainty, lack of consensus on scaling options, some developers stopped working on ETH. They’re going to focus exclusively on bitcoin-based financial products.

  • My take: don’t sleep on the king. Bitcoin is still king.

  • Why we care: because ETH-based DeFi projects are the most popular and best developed, but you can do DeFi with other blockchains.
