The Brief for September 7, 2020

Happy Monday! This week’s brief is short. I’ll make it up to you next time! This week I have one article and some videos.

BTW—don’t sweat the drop, if there’s anything to worry about, I’ll let you know.

  • Why Facebook Is Very Worried About Apple's iOS 14

    • Bottom line: Apple’s new focus on privacy will hurt Facebook and other businesses that depend on gathering data from users who don’t realize it.

    • My take: this is the way the world is going and it will make blockchain more valuable because you can anonymize data and make it useful at scale. With traditional technology, you can only do one of those two things at scale.

    • Why we care: this is more confirmation of the trend I’ve mentioned in my monthly issues—more people realizing the flaws of modern digital technology. Let’s hope this leads to better appreciation of blockchain technology and the power of decentralized networks run by cryptocurrency.

Watch Bob Loukas’s most recent “Four Year Journey” video for some perspective I 100% agree with:

Also watch my most recent mailbag video.

You also missed another video, Bitcoin is crashing - what to do now? so if you’re not subscribed to the YouTube channel, you may want to subscribe now to get the videos directly when I post them.

Relax and enjoy the ride!
