Yet more confirmation we've passed through the “awareness” phase on our anatomy of a bubble chart:

Rumors have it that Trump may appoint Howard Lutnick, Tether’s asset manager, for US Treasury Secretary.

What could go wrong?

We will need to wait a bit longer before we know who the new president nominates. As with all his cabinet appointments, the confirmation hearings will be lit.

What does that mean for us now?

Nothing. We have more important things to worry about. Get more on that in my November 13, 2024 update.

In that update, I also looked at key metrics and movements of stablecoins, talked about long-timeframe strategy, and reviewed ETH, SOL, BNB, DOGE, and XRP.

This is not a trading newsletter, though I will pass along low-risk, high-reward set-ups on Bitcoin and the biggest altcoins occasionally.

Are you looking to trade the market? I have a resource for you.

In 52 Trades in 52 Weeks, Sankalp Shangari posts simple, structured trades. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, but it's a sound approach that produces excellent results.

I've passed along a couple of trades in previous rundowns. Head over to his newsletter and sign up for his telegram channel.

He didn't pay me to say that, and his team probably doesn't know I even mentioned it. When you head over there, tell him I sent you.

Milk Road has an excellent, concise conversation with Philip Swift that covers most of the major questions you have—though the title “5 Charts to Predict the Cycle Top & Bitcoin Price Prediction” is clickbait. The video delves into other, more substantive topics.

(I’ve been known to post click-bait titles from time to time, too. It’s a standard thing for content creators.)

In the video, Jay and Philip acknowledge the importance of media attention in creating a sense of excitement around crypto. If that doesn’t seem important to you, refer to the bubble chart above.

They also stress the importance of viewing this cycle as the last chance to get ahead of legacy financial entities.

(I would add the change in US political leadership reinforces this point. Once these entities use their governments—in this case, the US government—to create frameworks to divert capital flows from us to themselves, we’ll have fewer and less-lucrative opportunities.)

Jay and Philip also talk about cycles, “the macro,” and some charts I don’t pay attention to (except the MVRV Z-Score).

Bonus: they both come from countries that spell “color” wrong.

Relax and enjoy the ride!
