Bottom line: With Lightspark’s infrastructure, the UK and parts of the European Economic Area can send BTC instantly and with minimal fees.
My take: Good! It’s expensive to send Bitcoin on-chain. $1-2 per transaction, on average. Lightning network cuts that to essentially zero, but the best lightning wallets run on apps that don't have a lot of users. Revolut has a lot of users. The bigger question is whether people will pay each other with BTC when they can use stablecoins or legacy tech instead. It should be interesting to see how things go.
Why you should care: This integration could make Bitcoin more practical for everyday transactions, potentially driving wider adoption that persists regardless of Bitcoin’s price or “the macro.”
In this free report, CryptoQuant dug into Ethereum’s usage and supply dynamics, examining the tokenomics and technical changes that make up the ETH token’s value proposition.
Stakers and big ETH holders need to read it, especially in light of its recent price surge, the Pectra upgrade, and Vitalik Buterin’s recent statements about Ethereum’s philosophy and intent.
In short, the ETH token price faces a tough climb in the long run. New tokenomics weakened its monetary properties, and changes in investor preference weakened its investment case.
